Pro Series Ultrapure Creatine
Micronised creatine monohydrate powder
Ultrapure Creatine consists of a very fine and high-quality creatine monohydrate powder. The fine, micronised consistency of the creatine powder ensures optimum absorption. The creatine impresses with its premium quality and high degree of purity.
Creatine is a molecule that the body produces itself from the amino acids glycine and arginine. Creatine is also contained in foods such as meat and fish, which means that it can be ingested in small amounts in everyday food. Creatine is synthesised in small amounts (1-2 g/day) in the kidneys, liver and pancreas and 90% of it is found in skeletal muscle (Antonio et al., 2021). If you are a vegetarian or vegan, you are very likely to have less creatine in your body if you are not currently taking it in the form of a dietary supplement. In the form of creatine phosphate, it plays an important role in cellular energy production as it is involved in the formation of ATP - the main source of cellular energy.
Creatine contributes to ATP recycling and prolongs the time in which muscles can generate power.
Phosphocreatine - phosphorylated creatine, which is the storage form of energy-rich phosphate in muscle - recycles ATP by transferring a phosphoryl group to ADP. Around 95 % of the creatine supplied to the muscles is stored in the form of phosphocreatine. The remaining five per cent is available for the liver, brain and kidneys. Studies have found that the increased phosphocreatine store in the brain can improve its health and prevent neurological diseases.
Creatine is primarily needed for muscle contraction, but also for brain and nerve function. It provides a phosphate that contributes to the conversion of the adenosine diphosphate (ADP) produced during contraction into adenosine triphosphate (ATP).
With over 500 scientific publications, creatine is one of the best-studied supplements.
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has also officially confirmed that creatine has a demonstrably positive effect on performance.
Creatine increases physical performance during high-speed strength training as part of short-term intensive physical activity (with a daily intake of 3 g creatine).
Important: Food supplements are only ever a supplement to a balanced and healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle.
According to Ostojic et al. from 2021, although creatine is produced by the body, this amount is not sufficient to adequately cover requirements. Vegetarians, vegans and older people in particular, who eat little or no meat, therefore consume less creatine and have significantly lower creatine levels in their blood plasma, meaning that supplementation with creatine monohydrate makes a lot of sense and is even more effective.
The fact that creatine is one of the most important supplements in sport is also confirmed by the review update of the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) from 2017, which not only sees creatine as the most effective supplement for improving performance and building muscle, but also demonstrates many other positive aspects, such as improved regeneration, protection against injuries and thermoregulation.
Currently, there is also scientific evidence and approaches that creatine can have a positive effect on cognitive abilities and the brain (including improved memory performance, cognitive performance during sleep deprivation, etc.) (Forbes et al., 2022)
Increase performance
Ultrapure Creatine is the ideal support for bodybuilding, strength and fitness sports. The daily intake of 3g creatine increases physical performance during high-speed strength training as part of short-term intensive physical activity. Due to the increased reserves of pospohocreatine, your body can produce more ATP, which in turn enables you to perform better during training.
The increased ATP production allows you to work harder, which means you can achieve more volume in a single training session. This in turn is the key factor for your long-term muscle growth.
The satellite cells, which are responsible for repairing your muscles, also receive better signals, meaning that your muscles regenerate and build up faster.
Furthermore, some studies have shown, for example, that strength gains can be increased by around ten per cent on average as part of a strength training programme.
Creatine increases physical performance during high-speed strength training as part of short-term intensive physical activity (with a daily intake of 3 g creatine).
Water intake while taking creatine
The intake of sufficient fluid or water is extremely important when supplementing with creatine. All the increased water retention caused by creatine goes exclusively to the muscles. However, as the fluid requirement increases while taking creatine, you may become dehydrated because you have not drunk enough. Mild dehydration causes the body to retain more water. So please drink enough!

FAQ Pro Series Ultrapure Creatine
How is creatine manufactured?
Our creatine is produced exclusively through chemical synthesis involving sarcosinate and cyanamide as raw materials, which is considered the most effective and safest production method in the industry. We guarantee that our creatine is free of contaminants.
Is a measuring spoon included?
Our Ultrapure Creatine contains one measuring spoon. This measuring spoon corresponds to the recommended intake. However, you can also use a teaspoon to dose your amount. One heaped teaspoon corresponds to approx. 5g.
What are the differences in ESN Creatine?
All creatine products have the same mechanism of action. Differences are entirely due to their solubility in water or method of consumption.
Ultrapure Creatine Monohydrate is our best-selling creatine product. Both the price and quality are unbeatable. With a mesh factor greater than 200, this is a highly soluble fine-grain creatine product guaranteed to be as pure as it comes.
Creapure® Creatine Monohydrate is a branded form of high-quality creatine found in some of our mixed products (e.g., ESN Tank Up). It is highly soluble with a mesh factor greater than 150, and is produced by Alzchem Trostberg GmbH in Germany.
Creatine Giga Caps are Ultrapure Creatine Monohydrate in capsule form, for easy and convenient dosing, especially when traveling.
Does Ultrapure Creatine Monohydrate contain corn?
No. It does not contain corn.
Does Creatine Monohydrate lead to water retention?
No. Creatine Monohydrate does not automatically lead to more water retention. As an osmotically active substance, creatine can of course bind water. If it leads to water retention, which has not been clearly proven scientifically, it leads to intracellular water retention, which can certainly be positive.
Do I have to take creatine with orange juice or a carbohydrate source?
No, you can also take creatine with just water.
Is creatine also available in flavours?
We now also offer creatine in different flavours. The Fresh Cherry flavour is currently available in a 300g can.
Can I take the Daily in addition to creatine?
The Daily already contains 3g creatine. So you don't necessarily have to take it. But it won't do you any harm either. The recommendation of 3g creatine is based on an average person. If you weigh a little more or want to be on the safe side, you can supplement 2-3g of creatine.
Is it better to take creatine before or after training?
The timing doesn't really matter. Ideally, it should be taken with a carbohydrate-heavy meal. However, creatine is also absorbed in this way as long as it is not taken with a meal.
What is the difference between the Ultrapure Creatine Powder and the Ultrapure Creatine Sticks?
The only difference is that the creatine sticks come in small sachets. One sachet contains 3.5g of creatine monohydrate. Otherwise, the content and effect are the same.
Is Ultrapure Creatine Powder vegan?
Yes, Ultrapure Creatine Powder is vegan.
How should I take creatine? Can I take it throughout the day and also on non-training days?
Creatine can be taken throughout the day. It is not necessary to take a break. Creatine should also be taken on non-training days.
