Aminos’ is a dietary supplement containing all nine essential and three non-essential amino acids, vitamin B6 and AstraGin®.
Important: Food supplements are only ever a supplement to a balanced and healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle.
What are essential amino acids?
Essential amino acids are vital because the body cannot produce them itself and they must therefore be obtained from food. These amino acids are involved in numerous important body processes, including the formation of proteins, tissue repair and the strengthening of the immune system. Essential amino acids are the basic building blocks of proteins and play a crucial role in many bodily functions. A key benefit of ‘ESN Aminos’ is their ability to support muscle protein synthesis and post-workout recovery.
The essential amino acids are:
- Histidine
- Isoleucine
- Leucine
- Lysine
- Methionine
- Phenylalanine
- Threonine
- Tryptophan
- Valine
Why essential amino acids?
These amino acids are crucial for many biological processes, including protein synthesis, tissue repair and the production of enzymes and hormones. A sufficient supply of these amino acids is essential for growth, regeneration and general well-being. The body can only absorb them through food.
Who is the product suitable for?
Aminos are particularly beneficial for athletes as they provide a fast and effective supply of the essential building blocks for muscle protein synthesis. These amino acids are not only crucial for building and maintaining muscle mass, but also for improving the ability to regenerate after training. The essential amino acids are already broken down and therefore very quickly available to the body. This means that they can be used directly for muscle protein synthesis, which is particularly important for muscle building, the immune system and general regeneration after training. Therefore, ESN Aminos are ideal for athletes who train intensively, such as weightlifters, bodybuilders and endurance athletes who require rapid recovery between training sessions.
In addition, they are useful for athletes who are in phases of calorie reduction or have special nutritional needs where the intake of certain amino acids through the normal diet is not sufficient. Supplementation with ESN Aminos therefore offers a practical solution to close nutritional deficits and optimally support performance and muscle condition.
The advantages at a glance
Our ESN Aminos are characterised by the following features:
- Very fast absorption, as the amino acids are already split
- Contains all the amino acids that the body cannot produce itself and that are needed to synthesise the body's own proteins, e.g. for muscle building, immune system etc.
- Adaptation of the amino acids to the amino acid profile of a portion (30g) of whey for optimum effect
- Contains AstraGin® - a patented extract from Astragalus membranaceus and Panax
- Ideally use before, during or directly after training
- With vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Sugar-free, lactose-free, gluten-free & vegan
AstraGin® and vitamin B6
In addition to the essential and semi-essential amino acids contained in the product, we have also added AstraGin® and vitamin B6. Both ingredients improve the quality of the product.
AstraGin® is a patented extract from Astragalus membranaceus and Panax notoginseng, which is used to optimise the absorption of nutrients.
Many of you are probably familiar with vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy metabolism as well as normal protein and glycogen metabolism and reduces tiredness and fatigue. In addition, vitamin B6 also supports the formation of haemoglobin, a crucial element for the oxygen supply to the muscles, which in turn is important for performance and regeneration after training.
FAQ Aminos
What is the difference between Aminos and IsoClear?
ESN Aminos are primarily used to ensure a rapid supply (due to the already split form of the amino acids) of all essential and some semi-essential amino acids. The aim is to promote regeneration and muscle protein biosynthesis. IsoClear is a complete whey protein that can be used to cover your protein requirements. Naturally, this can also contribute to regeneration and muscle building.
Can I replace a protein shake with Aminos?
It is advisable to use an IsoClear or a Designer Whey. These contain the full spectrum of amino acids (essential, semi-essential and non-essential amino acids). The ESN Aminos serve as optimal solutions during times of acute need. These times are before, during and after training.
Can I combine Aminos with other food supplements?
ESN Aminos can easily be combined with a variety of our products. During training, it may be a good idea to combine ESN Aminos with Cyclic Dextrin and/or Electrolyte Powder. You can also combine ESN Aminos with Ultrapure Creatine and our pre-workout boosters.
When is the best time to take Aminos?
Aminos should be consumed directly before, during or immediately after training. These are the best times to maximise the effect.
Are ESN Aminos allowed during fasting?
Aminos contain amino acids that break the fast. In principle, you should not consume any nutrients during fasting, otherwise you would no longer be fasting.
Can I drink ESN Aminos throughout the day without exercising?
Aminos can also be consumed throughout the day between meals. In this case, however, we would usually recommend a protein powder. ESN Aminos are intended more for direct use around training.
Are Aminos vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free?
Yes, Aminos are vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free.
Do Aminos affect digestion?
As a rule, Aminos are very well tolerated by all people. Aminos do not contain any milk or soya and are vegan and gluten-free.
Do Aminos contain sugar?
No, we do not use sugar in this product. Aminos are sugar-free.
What is the difference to the EAAs?
The new aminos are the previous EAAs - just improved. The aminos contain a few extra ingredients such as AstraGin. In addition, the EAA profile has been further improved and is now similar to the gold standard whey protein.
