FAQ ESN Biotic Pro
Why do you recommend that ESN Biotic Pro be taken with a meal containing prebiotic fiber?
ESN Biotic Pro supplies your gut with several beneficial bacteria. These bacteria need to eat, and prebiotic fibers are their preferred food source because they stimulate the growth and proliferation of exclusively beneficial bacteria.
It remains unknown whether the immediate combination of probiotics and prebiotics has superior effects to the same supplements taken at separate times of day, so we recommend they are taken together as a precaution. Of course, taking them separately is better than not taking them at all.
An easy combination, whether together or at separate times of day, is taking ESN Biotic Pro with Skyr and Fav’n Tasty because the inulin is a prebiotic (one of the most heavily researched).
Can you open the capsules of ESN Biotic Pro and take the powder?
Yes, you can open the capsule and mix the powder in with food if you desire.
Are the strains of ESN Biotic Pro temperature critical?
Almost all probiotics are sensitive to temperature, with the extent of sensitivity depending on the manufacturer and type of probiotic. ESN Biotic Pro are highly stable up to 25 °C, and have a shelf life of about two years below this temperature. Accordingly, they don’t need to be refrigerated, but should be stored in a cool and dry place.
Are there any interactions with birth control pills?
No. There are no interactions with birth control pills.
Can neurodermatitis be aggravated by ESN Biotic Pro?
Neurodermatitis is a chronic skin condition worsened by inflammation. It’s unlikely that ESN Biotic Pro would interact in a negative way. You may consider reducing levels of inflammation by taking Essentials Pro and Curcumin Liquid Capsules.
Is the ESN Biotic Pro only suitable for humans or is the intestinal flora of e.g. cats / dogs so similar to that of humans, so that one can also expect positive effects?
Since ESN Biotic Pro is a human probiotic from the human microbiome, it was only tested on humans. For this reason, no general statement can be made for animals. However, we have anecdotal reports of More Nutrition's probiotic, More Biotic, from customers who also give their pets the product in reduced dosage (for example, half capsule) with success. It is unlikely that pets will experience negative effects from taking the product, although this cannot be ruled out. However, since so far only positive feedback came from the community, you can certainly test the ESN Biotic Pro in small quantities.
